So this was my first attempt at building my own R.O.V. and so far this has been an awesome project.
parts i have used:
3" pvc pipe
1-1/2" pvc pipe
4 1000rpm electric motors fro Radio Shack
small project box (for the controller)
3- dual position toggle switches
2- el cheapo led fog lamps
100 foot CAT-5 cable
1- single position toggle for the lights
2- right turn props from Traxxas RC boats
2- left turn props also from Traxxas RC boats
a lot of silicon and electrical tape
i'm always open for any advice i can get for my next one i plan to build as soon as i can figure out the design for it !!

Re: R.O.V. project "Minnow"
Looks pretty good for your first build... reminds me of some of the stuff I tried when just starting out. So how does it work? Have you tested it out yet?

My friend, this is very very good.
What did you use for buoyancy? And what controller did you use, Arduino, beaglebone?

Nice and simple, no frills and i'll bet it performs brilliantly
