It looks similar but Its hard to tell. I'm thinking a seal for a Pneumatic Air Cylinder Piston would/might be different because it has to seal a shaft that is moving in and out as apposed to rotating. (I could be wrong though.)

i have found a good way to make a seal for the 3mm shafts on my motors

iam using m6 stuffing glands you can tighten them to get a really good seal and it doesnt leak at all, i am going to pressure test them when i get chance this week and see what they can take. its a nice and cheap and easy solution if it works. i found this aswell while i was looking around the net.
