epoxy question

Post by popeye »

I have old fan blades from computers that I am attempting to attach to a 1/8" drive shaft from my motors. I have to ask what brand or type epoxy should I use to try and marry these parts together?

Any namebrand quick set epoxy would work, Such as Locktite Eposy - Quick Set - 5 minute or Locktite Epoxy Plastic Bonder.

The Plastic bonder epoxy they make works really well. It actually melts the plastic to the epoxy... like PVC glue does with PVC.

They also have a slow bond epoxy that sets in 60 minutes.

As long as the shaft on the motor is long enough thread it. This means that you will have to tap the prop if the hole is too small drill to the proper size. You can also just drill the prop so that it fits nice and snug then put a washer and nut on both sides of the prop
