thruster layout question

Post by terryt »

I know this might sound a bit daft, but my thruster layout is 4 horizontal and 1 vertical. This is a question I thought I could solve myself, but need some brains back-up.

The main vertical thruster takes the ROV down, do you need a thruster to bring it back up again, do you need an 'up' thruster or do you rely on the positive bouyancy to surface the rov?

cheers chaps

You just reverse the vertical thruster then it will bring the Rov to surface.

Ah right you are, got it, appreciate the support :-)

PS. Way off topic, but I see you are from Norway. I live where the x5 minsubs did their secret testing in WW2 to then go over to Norway to sink the battleship Tirpitz and Barnes Wallace tested the bouncing bomb. Other than shellfish, I hope to send my ROV down to take a look at the old WW2 targets. Hey ho, just a coincidence where you're from.

thanks again
