Net Tool For ROV

I have an idea for a net attachment!!If you found some way to run some stiff rope through a net made with the mesh doubled over so it makes a loop and wound the rope around some sort of spool attached to a motor then you could open and close the mesh. Or you could attach a motor to it so it could rotate and close the net that way. Any ideas accepted.

The way I think is best is this(you will need fine mesh):
Cut a very elongated oval out of the mesh and split it in two
Measure the edge of the flat side and multiply that by two
Cut a strip of light cloth the a little longer than that
Sow the two halves of the mesh together tightly leaving the opening well, open
Fold the strip of cloth in half over the opening and hot-glue or sow them together
