Can't find Propellors
Can't find Propellors
I've been searching for a couple days now, mostly though on-line hobby shops and no one has them in stock! There appears to be no US manufacturer and orders are only filled roughly once a year by most places. I need three 50mm counter-clockwise and one clockwise rotating prop. Please help!

Try http://www.harbormodels.com/
I use the Robbe 3 Blade Plastic Propeller in 50mm, they have both left and right versions.

Re: Can't find Propellors
Steve,
Thanks a ton! I just placed an order.
I also got one shaft/stuff box and a set of wheel collars to play with. I will probably use a prop adapter similar to yours for the other three motors. What do you call the base piece with the tapping hole? I'm a bit leery of relying on epoxy clay to hold the unit together. Now onto finding suitable mounts for the Johnson pump cartridges. No fabricating for me. I wish I had a shop like yours!!
Cheers,
Bret

About the mounts for the johnson bilge pumps:
Mounts for the motors has always been my biggest problem. Luckily, I found these 2" pipe straps at the plumbing store. They fit perfectly on the 500 GPH motor cartridges. I recommend these if you are needing a way to mount them

You can also use rc plane props and a spinner. Like the rov kit at inventive Inc. I used rc props one of my rovs and it work't well
Re: Can't find Propellors
Thanks,
I went with Harbor Models for the props and Tower Hobbies for the mounting coupler. Used a cut, 4mm screw and seems to work like a charm (i still have to test). I also found a perfect piece of pvc and use a dremmel to carve out grooves for a slide and lock (locking tabs were already present on the bilge cartridge). It fits nice and snug

They are my favorites, beside many model parts also a heap of electronic stuff. The parcels were in Thailand 4 days after ordering, so speed is no magic with them.
success!
