Hi guys!
First of all, thanks for owner and all DIY ROV community for this great forum!
I've learned a lot, and i have come up with ideas of my desing.
I am using PVC frame system, like many others here, see photo.
Camera will propably be small parking camera, with good resolution and small size, maybe this one:

Im planning to put camera inside UK D8 divetorch housing (see photo). Battery for camera will be inside housing and videofeed
will be RCA-Balun-Ethernet-Balun-RCA style cable.
Tether lenght of 100ft. Iam thinkin to use positively buoyant rope to act as recovery rope and to provide needed lift for cables
(lift would not probably be enough, so i need to put floats as well or use thick rope?)
I have 2 36 liter/h bilgepumps that i am planning to use as vertical thrusters (used as pair, forward reverse). I am going to buy
2 more powerful bilgepumps for horizontal movement.
Motors will be powered from surface battery, and i am thinking of audio speaker cables that are thick enough. Need to calculate that.
I dont know what kinda propellers to use. Are RC airplane propellers ok?
Something like this maybe? (http://dx.com/p/walkera-hm-cb180-z-02-t ... pack-37401)
Or should i try to find myself more like boat-type propellers, with wider blades?
How do you attatch propellers to bilge pump saft? Is there easy way to do it? I dont have any machinery to build adapters.
I am thinking of puttin underwater compass (and divecomputer perhaps) in front of camera, where the i can see them but not
blocking the view too much.
Have a nice day everyone!

Re: ROV Plan
Nice idea to use the audio cables, I have seen ones using speaker wire for tethers and they worked very well. I would calculate the length of speaker wire for resistance and see how much the voltage will drop in 100 feet of wire.
