Universal Rov controller/software for PC
I noticed that in the public domain is not cheap solutions to control rov.
Who ever is interested in the development of a universal software for managing ROV?
How about to chip in with money and order the software from programmers?
Software for any system(windows, mac, linux) that opens in a browser. Switching the 1, 2 cameras, or two cameras at once on a single screen. Motor, manupulator, light(on/off) control from the keyboard.
Universal hardware control is a PC router(TL-MR3020) with modified open wrt firmware, Arduino, 2 or more usb camera on usb hub, 4 brushless motor for motion and 4 servo for manipulator,2 led light.
There are some suggestions?

Re: Universal Rov controller/software for PC
OpenROV has basically done this, though not exactly as you described.
http://openrov.com/
Also, a company/person (?) created ROV Asia, which was basically a complete hardware solution for a small ROV. I think there were some dissatisfied customers though (people not receiving their orders?), but I don't know for certain as I was not one of them.

I'm not sure how to contact the guy (I think his name was Gordon Duncan), but I believe that bikerbones1968 had a correspondence with him. Here's a thread with a little more info:

Re: Universal Rov controller/software for PC
I looked at Asian rov, but it's not quite what I need is a simple scheme similar to the relay control. Me and the other probably also interested in a more intelligent management of the rov with one cable for control and video (utp5) from rov to computer. More like openrov than Asian rov.No even less expensive than openrov.
Forum administrator can attach to this topic a poll?
1. I want to use a smart management.
2. I have enough control over the relay and video via a second cable.

I need the same thing. but additionally needed depth sensor temperature accelerometer and gyro compass for the autopilot with the possibility of retention rate and depth. I think to use the Arduino and raspberri. can be used to program modifications and additions Open rov. I'm ready if are willing to pay for the program is also putting money. excuse my english

I also use a translator
. for one person it will be expensive but if we will have more than 5 people that I think will be enough as I looked on the website for the programmers of this type of program is enough 500-600 dollars
