Re: My ROV project
I assume that it is aluminum? What did you use for the fasteners at the corners, are those rivets?
Looks cool, It'll be neat to see how it looks when it's finished.

Re: My ROV project
Those are pop rivets most of the frame. The corners on the base are bolts with nuts so the top can be removed.
Re: My ROV project
Here are a couple of pictures of my latest test. I tested the ballast, camera, and motor.

Re: My ROV project
Considering it is aluminium, you will be adding zinc sacrificial anodes, yes?
Re: My ROV project
I am going to add zinc plates to it.
Re: My ROV project
Hi
I did a test run of the ROV today. It went down to 50ft. The motor and the ballast tank worked perfectly. We forgot the plug for the camera so I don't have ROV view footage.I will post pictures soon.

Hi
We did another test on the ROV the other day. We built the control board and attached all 4 motors. We sent the ROV down to 75ft. The motors worked perfectly at that depth.I will post footage of the ROV soon.

Re: My ROV project
Very nice, but what is the air tank for?
Re: My ROV project
The ones on the ROV are the ballast tanks. They are used to raise and lower the ROV. The one on the control board is to pressurize the ballast tanks.
