Hi all. Carl in San Diego here. I've decided to try my hand at building an underwater ROV. I've made some quick decisions after reading messages here: I've decided to go with the VEX controller and was able to find a VEX transmitter & receiver for $36 online; I'm going to use bilge pump motor cartridges for propulsion and found some 500 GPM units for $13 on-line. Once I decide what speed controllers I can use I'll be ready to start playing. I'm looking forward to playing in my pool and eventually in the pacific. I haven't made tether or power decisions yet.
This is just for the fun of the build. I'll think of a use/objective later.

Good luck, they are really good fun to build (both building the ones that don't work and those which do) and they are even more fun to use.
You shall be suprised as to what you can find lurking beneath the waves.

Welcome to the Forum.... I have a few of those Vex setups which I plan on putting to use one of theses days on an Rov.
