Thruster disposition?

Hi everyone

I would like to know what would be the best disposition
For the thruster between these 3?

In my opinion, I think either #1 or #2 as they both allows for Forward/Reverse, Left/Right, as well as lateral movement. Assuming the thrusters go in both forward and reverse.

I prefer #2 because it will give you equal thrust in every direction. Were as #1 you would get more forward thrust than reverse just because of the general nature of most props.
