hi,
need help on this
can somebody please explain to me how to plug my camera to my laptop
and record my dive,and explain the material i need to do so!
excuse my english im french

To plug the camera into the laptop you just need a video capture device. I use a Smart TV PCMCIA Video Capture Card (seen below) but the device is going to depend on your laptop. I think most of the newer capture devices are USB anyway so they should work with most laptops. If your camera has RCA plugs it should connect up to most Capture devices but if your camera uses something like BNC connections you may need to find a adapter to make the connections. Most of the capture cards should come with the software to record (which may vary) but I use WinDVR.

Yes, Your camera would hook to one Video Balun on the Rov, then you would use cat5 cable through the tether as your video cable, then the cat5 would plug into the other video balun topside, and then that balun would hook up the the capture card.

I'm using the EasyCAP software.
Finding the driver for windows 7 was a bit of a hassle, but other than that, it's very, very simple to use.

In regards to the use of wireless cameras don't go down that path you will lose the wireless signal as soon as the rov goes under water. Read it on one of the forums somewhere.

Most of the capture devices should come with software and just be plug and play but it might depend on what operating system you are using, be sure to check the system requirements of any device before you buy it.
Paul is right.... a wireless camera will not work underwater, (or if it does it will only work for a few feet at best) this goes for most wireless signals (video, remote control, ect.)
