If you're not going very deep you may be able to find something at an auto-parts store for a reasonable price. I haven't got around to looking yet, so I don't know for sure.

I purchased 2 sensors, 2.5$ per sensor and 7$ shipping to Croatia. I use arduino to read analog values.

Is these suitable for sensing water pressure?
Are you planning to connect a hose to the sensor to be able to sense the water pressure?

Of course, they are waterproof. I will put it in the hose and seal wire connectors and lower part of sensor.

So far so good. I implemented it into arduino, works fine but needs differential amplifier. I can send amp schematics. Now i need to calibrate it. What sensor do u have?

What model of arduino board did you use?
Do you require one in the ROV and at the surface?

I use only Duemillanove in ROV, and send data over rs485 to my laptop (Java application).

HAS ANYONE THOUGHT OF USEING THOSE CHEAP FISH FINDERS THAT YOU CAN GET ON E-BAY.There wired but I think they could be extended to whats required. they have a small screen that gives you a picture of whats below amd depth below the hull. You might even be able to point them forward to stop you running into rocks Etc. you comments would be wellcome.
