Hi everyone I am Dimitri for San Antonio Texas. I am new to the ROV world. My back ground is in aviation and heavy equipment. Being a scuba diver the underwater world has always been of great interest to me. My goal for the ROV am I planning to built will be to a depth of 60ft with a 100ft to 150ft tether with a live video feed to the surface. I am also planning on equiping the ROV with a gripper arm. I am hoping to draw on the expertise the other members of this from have to offer.
I could use advise in camera selection ( I would like to run a color low light capible one For my needs , from reading this and other sides, it seems like bilge pumps would work just fine. Any advice as to what size would work and what would be over kill?
Like most of us here cost is a factor. I am married I would like to stay that way so I need to keep the cost down. Any and all help on how to keep the cost down would me nice. Hope to get to know so great ROV'er on here. Nice to be here.
