Servo's

im am quite the beginner and this may seem like a silly question, however i was wondering are most servo's waterproof? what should i be looking for when purchasing?

you can find water resistant servos, but I've never seen a waterproof one.

Traxxas sells waterproof servos.... The Traxxas waterproof servos have O rings at both case splits, on all four screws that hold the case together and on the output shaft.

Personally, I never waterproof servos. Though i havent quite finished my ROV yet, the RC battleship leauge that I do regularly has ships flood and sink. Just thro w them in mineral oil before and after and drill small holes in teh plastic case and itll work fine.

HI..

I have been thinking of using some servos for a arm on my ROV and was looking on the net of how to water proof them.

I found this to be interesting

Hitech is selling ip67 rated (submersion up to 1m) servos now!

They have analog and digital versions. $43 for the analog and $55 for the digital.
