Homebuilt ROVs Forum

Hi everyone, been using this and other sites for inspiration for my ROV and just signed up to the forum. Love seeing others work and how we each go about making ROV's. While we're all pretty much after the same result, how we go about it can be very different. I'm personally making mind with depth and video quality my top priorities. The idea was to see depths either beyond my scuba diving limits, scout new areas, or just investigate underwater. My goal is 300FFW (Feet of Fresh Water) and HD video. So far I've managed 70ft and 480 standard video. At these depths my biggest challenge has been tether design. All of my testing has been in Lake Mead...and my pool.

Welcome to the forum, you really are planning on going deep aren't you! What will you be using for the main housing?

Welcome to the forum Biglakeexile. I hope you can achieve your goal of HD video at a depth of 300 feet. I bet that wont be cheap. Please keep us posted on your progress.
