Another Hi from Sweden

Hi everyone!

First of all I would like to just say: What an excellent site this is, Steve!

I'm a 40 year old guy from the city of Uddevalla on the west coast of Sweden.
I had an USB webcam laying in a drawer and I got an idea to make an underwater camera. Bought two USB-Ethernet adapters and build a housing of a PVC pipe. Then I just attached it to a string and lower it down in the sea. It resulted in a short film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8b__ZsgoOjk

By chance I found this site and got caught immediately! I must build a ROV for my camera. The plan is to copy the Stinger Retrofit frame and go from there. More about the plans in other forums.

Sorry for my English, but I hope you understand most of it!

Jonas

Great set-up! And very poetic results, like an animated romantique era painting with a great choice of music, good show!

The glass jar is for flotation, to keep the right side up, yes? Does it also contain the light source?

Glad you liked it!

The glass jar is for containing a LED flash light. It has been tested to 20 meters and no leakage so far.

Wow, those results aren't to bad for using a USB camera. I think your probably the first one I've ever seen that has had such good results from one.
