Hi all,
I have always wanted to build a ROV. Years ago I got a build your own ROV guide. Ever since I wanted to build one. Over the years I have made many blueprints but have not gotten the chance to build it. The guide explains how to build a simple seaperch. The only progress I have made is the frame, of a seaperch. I want to make it a bit more advanced then just a seaperch. I plan on adding lights, a live camera, a high definition camera, and more.
I have a few questions. I want to use 500 gph bilge pumps as my thrusters, but how do I attach a propeller to the shaft of the pump, like does anyone have recommendations for fittings or propellers? Secondly, I want to have some simple led lights, does anyone have some simple, bright, energy efficient circuit design. (The battery I am using is a 12v DC battery) Finally, what would be a good simple circuit design for the three thrusters. Like should I put in a fuse, or resistors? Any other suggestions for the build are welcome!
Thanks!
