New controller??

How would this work for a controller?? Looks like it covers all the bases to me.

Looks interesting but for an ROV the main problem I'm seeing is that its designed to work with a wireless controller. RF does not travel well through water and any signal will quickly be attenuated.

I don't think you are going to get much better out of a direct USB connection since (without powered repeaters) I think USB signals tank out somewhere around 10ft.

You could hard wire it with a couple USB over ethernet adapters.

I guess that is an option, could also use it just to interface with a surface Arduino then connect that over ethernet to the Arduino controlling your ROV. Which is essentially what I will be doing with a pair of Raspberries and a Logitech 310. It certainly looks like a solid piece of hardware and it does sidestep a fair bit of programming. That said any way you decide to go you will still need additional support hardware.
