Homebuilt ROVs Forum

I will be building my first ROV, so I'm not so experienced with programming and electrical stuff, but im willing to challenge myself and learning new skills. I was wondering if I could have some ideas on how to control the ROV. I was thinking to be able to control it using a joystick (using tether) and arduino UNO. The problem is I don't know what to buy (e.i buy motor controls or speed control). Could I have a list on what to buy, so I can be able to control it using a joystick and arduino UNO? Please need help!!

Well I will happily be the first to welcome you to the forum, but I can be of no help to you on your arduino question.
I am pursuing rc style control and have no experience with arduino stuff.
Still, welcome to the site and hopefully someone knowledgeable will jump in here soon.
