ah ok, that seems simple enough, thanks a bunch...

What if I wanted counter-rotating props (ie one left hand prop, one right hand prop), if i reverse the wires on the motor to ESC side, will that cause a similar issue to what i had before? (I know, counter rotating props really don'tmatter, but that's how I have it set up, so to avoid changing/ordering new props...)

You are correct. Just swap only the wires connected to the motor. If one is turning the wrong way reverse them so it will rotate in the direction you want it to turn. Glad I could help.

Ok, success!! Thanks everyone for your help.
I've replaced the burnt out escs, and now each motor has its own esc and wiring-working flawlessly-just need to pot it up.
