3D Printed Thruster Housing

Post by KR2_Diving »

Finally got my custom designed thruster housing completed!

Had a friend print them out on his home built 3D printer.

They took 6hrs each to print, but they look AMAZING!

Mark, if you stumble across this page, thanks a million!!

Looks great!

How thick are they and how strong are they? I've long thought about buying a 3D printer but didn't want to waste the money if they could not build pressure tollerant pieces (down to at least 200').

Looks nice. I am wondering why you left so much clearance between the prop and the shroud? Don't you loose a lot of power that way?

not sure how thrust will be affected, haven't had a chance to get these wet yet.

the design was suppose to be a bit tighter, but for some reason I thought I had 55mm props, when in fact I have 50... other then that, no real reason...

Ok Ryan I need 4 of those NOW!!! LOL Actually can you get the CAD file, .obj, .stl or whatever file was used to create that? I know a guy not far from me that has a 3D printer and makes custom RC parts for FPVers. I would love to get them printed out.
