finally got me new driver chips!! they got lost in the post, I only emailed the company on Thursday night about it and they sent new one's first thing Friday morning and they arrived this morning!! no bad if you ask me as they came from Cornwall, witch is more or less the other side off the country!!

found out why it fried now after I emailed vellman about it each channel can only sink 100ma max, so after much testing the relays are pulling between 125 to 150ma :o :o something to consider if you are planning on using a 10 channel kit, so need to wire in some resistors, when I figure out which ones will work as I did try a variable one but couldn't get it to adjust very well to keep it under 100ma, so off to maplin tomorrow to get a pack off resistors so I can do more testing.

have started learning about the arduino as well, have looked but can't seem to find a prog to do what I need it to do, so looking like I might have to see if I can hack one instead doesn't look like it will be too difficult though as I only want simple on off controls just now anyway.
