I have now make a new Thrusters,Prototype 2.I have use brushless motor,Leopard LBP4074/4B 1400kv with gear.
This Prototype 2 is much better, its powerful in the water.I have test it,and working good.
Thrusters weight is 1500 gram (one)
Size of the Thrusters,diameter 48MM,propellers is 100MM,length is 265MM
Size of magnet: 10MM X 10MM (Neodymium) Magnetic couplings have diameter: 39MM X 12MM, six hole.
I will now make a Vertical Thrusters, I only need one.(I will use same as prototype 2,with some modification)
Here is some picture:
MY Magnetic couplings Thrusters (Prototype 2 finish)
Re: MY Magnetic couplings Thrusters (Prototype 2 finish)
Really cool stuff!
where did you get the planetary gears for the motors?

Re: MY Magnetic couplings Thrusters (Prototype 2 finish)
planetary gears from http://www.robotmarketplace.com
it a Magnum 775 Planetary Gearmotor, i have only use these gear from planetary box. The gear box, have i made.

Re: MY Magnetic couplings Thrusters (Prototype 2 finish)
I am now finish with the vertical Thrusters.
I will now make a frame,(like seabotix)

Re: MY Magnetic couplings Thrusters (Prototype 2 finish)
Hi there
Awesome result you got, i have similair design in my head. Is it possible to see the drawings you made for your thrusters ?

Very nice roarroar, you must be very good with the lathe!
Re: MY Magnetic couplings Thrusters (Prototype 2 finish)
Nice work RoarRoar,
Do you mind me asking how you are planning on powering the thrusters ? or what system you have in mind.
Thanks.
