HFi (High Frequency Injection) for better control at low speeds
Hi guys! <>< I recently learned about HFI (High Frequency Injection), which is used in V-ESCs to start controlling the motor in Closed Loop from a standstill, allowing for maximum torque. The interesting thing is that all this doesn't require additional hardware on the motor side! I think this could...

Re: ROV Project "Bumblebee"
Neat design! How are you planning to water proof the servos?
I tried to make a servo solution, but it's really difficult to waterproof the servos and guarantee it will keep waterproof for a long time.

Re: UUV
This is Amazing!!! The caps for the dry hull are resin 3D printed? Di you already test the waterproofness of the caps? Whats the max depth that you are planning this UUV to go? Why did you choose to use two arduino nanos? You have quite a lot of space in there. You could have used a better microcont...

Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
Would be nice if you add it, for future reference by other people. OK... So... The Tenda P200 module is a powerline adapter for transmitting ethernet signal through the home electrical grid. By opening this module you will be able to separate the AC side from the modulator module by just separating...

Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
Good to see your update Marco. Interesting use of vertical thrusters so you will be able to hover. I'll be interested to see how it performs in the water. as long as you keep the centre of gravity low in the hull (keel weights?) it should stay upright and not roll. For now is bottom heavy and it do...

Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
Some updates... The ROV works ! I am now working on making nice PCB boards so to make wiring and the charging of the battery less confusing. So many things have been done and for sure I will forget to mention some stuff... I will post some pictures and try to say a few words. Here you can see the ca...

Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
Hi Marco. It's great to see someone making their own AUV, I'm an AUV engineer by trade and you don't see many DIY ones around so good on you. I'd be interested to know how deep you intend to go and what sensors you will have on it? good luck. Bob. Hey! Thankyou, at the moment the plan is to be able...
