Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
If you look, Blue Robotics went to a 3-bladed prop on the new T200 thrusters, and most professional ROV's also have 3 bladed props. I believe it's the most efficient in water. They are also usually different from boat props, boat props being designed to work best going forward, while ROV thrusters ...

Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
Here is the prop pieces adapted and created for my walker QRX350 motor. The motor and the cables in the rendering aren't exact, I added them just to see it "built" in the computer. RC-GqFoosDM Propeller_Submarine_2020-Jul-10_01-00-14PM-000_CustomizedView14682417237.png Propeller_Submarine_...

Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
Here is the adapter for the prop I had to modify since I will use different motors than the creator. I am using Walkera QRX350 old motors.
Here are some renders (if you need the STL write me since its to big of a size to upload).

Re: U-DRONE Amethyst AUV Platform
Beautiful shape, only I think that the watertightness leaves something to desire. I think that you can achieve a better succes with swaping the whole dome if required. Because a flat surface is "easy" to make waterproof. All the 3D printed parts aren't required to be waterproof. They are ...

Re: Arduino/Teensy transmitting over RS485?
Anyways If the problem is the power why not using a transistor to amplify the signal coming out from the RS485 module?

Re: Neptune a Raspberry ROV
I am also thinking in using two rasbperry to make an ethernet connection and pass data from the surface to the ROV. I am thinking to put a hub in the rov so to connect various ethernet cameras and obviously the rasbperry; do you think its feasible? Can you go a bit more in detait on the cap of the f...

Re: Google Sketchup is being a pain
Hope I am not to late...
Your design is really simple. I would suggest you to change software.
Fusion360 is really simple to use and free for hobbyist if I am not mistaken. You can also make simulations of the structure using this tool.
Good luck![Fishy <><](./images/smilies/icon_fishy.gif)
