Re: MakiBox 3D printer...
Yeah a print that actually looks somewhere near normal.. Still a bit of sideways movement though. I've ordered some linear bearings that should turn up in a few weeks and hopefully that will sort out the non linear drag I'm getting on the axis.

Re: PI based ROv utilising..Node.Js..socket.io and HTML5 can
The problem I have now is as I'm a newbie on this html and Java script stuff I'm liek a kid in a sweet shop. Every time I read something I look under another stone and there's something else new to learn. My ROV front end has got more and more complex then back to basics and I think a clear simple o...

Re: MakiBox 3D printer...
what a nightmare this has been.. I would strongly not recommend a Makibox for anyone that isn't willing to put a lot of time in to getting it to work. It is a pretty poorly designed bit of kit.. I have eventually got a print out of it ... but the prints were slowly sloping to one side... back tot ad...

Ha as long as I get there in the end I'm happy... Life work and stuff do get in the way so I can certainly see why the scientists in days of old locked themselves in basements for weeks at a time... You could also argue if you have the other sensor data on board then why not show it.. But it would s...

Re: PI based ROv utilising..Node.Js..socket.io and HTML5 can
Answer was simple enough in the end. I'm trying to keep everything resizable so it'll look right on any size screen but this is limited to the 640X480 cam picture as there's not much point trying to view it much smaller than this.. I'm beavering away at my front screen now and even if I say so mysel...

Re: New builder New ROV ...Old problems .. :)
End caps and plastic dome turned up. It looks good and after a bit of cutting fits pretty good too.
I had an unfortunate incident though and cracked my end cap so I'll need another one of them...
I'll have to sort out an account with photo bucket or something so I can paste a few pics...

Re: PI based ROv utilising..Node.Js..socket.io and HTML5 can
z orders did the trick... thanks My next head ache is sizing... my ipcam is 640 X 480 so my iframe is 640 X 480. But I want this to be in the middle of the screen so that if the screen being used is smaller or bigger then the ipcam output is still normally size/ratio. I can auto size the canvas as t...

Thanks for the ideas... Rethinking it I don't need to actually imbed it an over lay will do perfect thanks..... I hadn't really realised the Z order of things but now I'm reading up on It, it does indeed look like I may be able to have the Iframe set behind the canvas and still. I shall have a play....
