Re: Lipo in parallel / fuses and charging
I have two in parallel sharing an auto reset breaker. I plan to do field charging in parallel with just the two conductors and then balance when the housing is opened after use.

I am building mine to do about that depth. I'll be working on 100m for the immediate future. The tether and syntactic foam is my only limitation to overcome currently.

Here is a video of my thruster test.
I still have some more testing to do with different props. I am working on getting my motors potted and a few design changes to the thruster housings.

Re: Cable for a 450feet diving?
You can send control data over RS485 to over 4000'. Two twisted pairs are needed with a ground (can be shared with other devices) and the rest of your cat 5 can be used for sending video (with baluns to get the distance) or data up.

What do you use for Monitors or Video Diplays?
I am looking into one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/390802302109 It is widescreen and 11" with 350cd/m brightness. What does everyone else use? I would like to find something cheaper but it seems like in this size options are limited. The main considerations seem to be: Screen size Aspect r...

Re: what control package options are out there?
I have only seen a couple , there is another from Asia which I believe there is info on this forum for. We are working on an Arduino based system which should have plenty of pwm outputs and should include all of the features mentioned. It will be a few years though. Right now it works with a Playsta...
