Re: Tether disconnect ideas?
who knows.. maybe. the connectors are sold by alot of companies like newark/element14, http://bulgin.co.uk/usa_locator/usa_disiti_locator.html http://bulgin.co.uk/usa_locator/MD.html its probably cheaper with a connector with separate pins, than one with RJ45 connector. the 400 series is quite nice ...

http://bulgin.co.uk/Products/Buccaneer/Buccaneer6000Data-Ethernet.html http://bulgin.co.uk/Products/Buccaneer/Buccaneer_400_Series.html you should pot/mold the inside of each connector to improve the water tightness. slow curing epoxy or rubber(PUR) also apply a small amount of dielectric grease(sil...

Re: voltage drop
3amps
50meter = 8volts on end of cable
70meter = 6,3volts
3 thusters active = 9 amps
50meter = nothing left..
With 2 thusters (6 amps)
50meter = 4volts
70meter = 0,6volts
Calculated with electrodroid app for Android devices.

Re: Cat 6 cable question
with 50meters of 23AWG(0.25mm2) cat6 cable you will not have any voltage left with 5amp load. at 1amp you will have 5.1V at the end. 30meter 1A = 7.8volt at end 2A= 3.7V (calculated with electrodroid App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.android.demi.elettronica&hl=en ) I would r...

Re: Cat 6 cable question
how deep are you going?
5amps is quite alot on thin wires in a cat6 cable.

Re: ROV Asia parts
I have a brand new rov asia kit, never been used. I am willing to sell it if you would think you could get it remanufactured. I seem to remember that alot of the circuits was filed down to be anonymised.
I dont remeber how much i paid for it...
