Re: Turnigy TrackStar 18A ESC
Hi Ryan, Yeah generally you want the punch set to max.... if you were running this ESC on a car, you'd use punch to adjust the throttle according to track grip. think of it as "ramp up time" menu 1, should be 3 for best response. reverse speed max, drag brake max, and timing, from memory,...

Re: Turnigy TrackStar 18A ESC
Ok... so I have been playing with my TrackStar ESC's again tonight... and I tried changing the lines in the SERVO.h library on an UNO (R3) and I did not see any change in the results... Not sure if it is UNO based... or ME based... was only running ONE Servo. (well... it was 4 ESC all sharing one PW...

Re: New to Arduino, what should I get?
Hey NCUWI, Sounds like you are on the right track! I would HIGHLY recommend getting THIS BOOK. It covers all the basics you need to get started with Arduino. I have a very well worn copy of my own that is never more than a few feet from me when I am working with my Arduino. I, much like ArduROV, am ...

Re: Camera to DVR problem
Also make sure you have a good SD card. Ideally for video, you should be using a CLASS 10 card... anything lower, and there may be issue where the DVR can not write to the SD card quick enough... Specs for the video output: • Codecs: MPEG-4 SP, H.263 • Formats: MP4, 3GP, 3G2 • Resolution: Up to 640 ...

Coffee has kicked in! Thought of a way to clean up this code even more! Have you considered the constrain function Current Code: //Take joystick values and mix to give vectored output..... STBDFOR = (rxdata.surg - rxdata.sway - rxdata.head + 180); // See spreadsheet for calcs and results STBDAFT = (...

Re: Turnigy TrackStar 18A ESC
Hey Bindo! Thanks for revisiting this! Very interested in giving this a try while I wait for my fancy new BlueRobotics Thrusters! It has been a while since i visited that chunk of my code... am i correct in thinking that making this change limits you to 4 servos? As i read it, you are planning on ru...

Sounds like a great project! Very eager to see how things work out for you! I also like your logic on ditching the PS2 controller... i hvae been thinking the same recently, as the controller I have is nice and familiar, however, it is the off brand and does not give me the accuracy i would like with...

Re: KR2 ROV
Ryan, I was wondering why you are using a low/med/high output and not fully proportional? Bindo Hey Bindo, I know at the time, I was struggling to find a good way to run this proportional while only using one joy stick! i would be very interested in seeing what you came up with! BR, Ryan "KR2_...
