Re: hi from the uk

I would stand off to overweight it. The reason is that your props will blow to the ground with every movement and if no current is present, it takes ages the clear the sight. Better is always a very small updrift and correct by using the motors. I will make you more flexible and keeps the view clear...

Re: cam on ebay

he Illumination of 0 Lux makes it interesting, as I bought here in Thailand one CCTV Cam with 0.1 and that one makes already bright colours, also it has the same angle so it will have a good size pic on the screen. You got even a screen with it, mine was the naked camera, so all in all it looks like...

Re: hello

Hi, the pleasure is on my side too, I am not so much into fishing, but had a short interest (as I wrecked my dad's Fishfinder to see how I can use the sonar part for my ROV) I want to become a ROV Trainee and want to do a documentation about building one from scratch to boost my CV. I am e...

Re: robotic arm

You were mentioning some watertight servos.. Have you got any link to it? I was looking a long time for them but no one was suitable to go 100-200 meters. By now all of my housings are approved to 60 bar, only my fiber optic tether can not go deeper as 200m, but anyway, I have to find first a spot t...

Re: hi from the uk

Hi, my dad brought me from his job in the uk some 6mm Plexi with A 200mm disc = 10 GB. I use a piece of a 200mm PVC Pipe, cut in one of the caps a window and mount it on the pipe by using O-Rings on both sides. The cap will be used as a kind of flange.. that will do for 100m and deeper.. I am lookin...

Re: Hello from British Columbia

Have a look at Trusters and Fiber Opitic Thether, we have both in our forums. Cheap (Tailor made) Fiber Optic Cable and Fiber Optic Converters with Lan Connection you want to buy at www.fiberkorat.com. We talk about F.O. cable for 1-2$ per meter and a converter for a 120-150$. The water depth you wa...

Re: robotic arm

To waterproof bolts that go through housings are Fiber/Rubber washers or O-rings the best solution.. Especially with o-rings our big brothers in the industry use them to go 3000' easily.

Re: Magnetic couplings= next step to deeper dives for DIY RO

I have ordered them and wait that the will be delivered. I will make a complete photo documentation of my ROV starting from scratch. I hope it will run in 2 month time from now.

Re: My Meager Machine

Very nice Homework. That is more than a good basic as start and extend all sensors later.. How is it with the light in the same housing as the cam, i guess that will give a bit of a head but the rest looks like a nice piece of equipment...

Re: 130ft is a success, 280ft....almost!

Great job mate. That's the way I wanna go as well, just with a 6 props one for holding against currents at sea.. I 100m is a success the next step will be 200m. All parts I use have a warranty for 40 bar, unfortunately the sea depth around Thailand is max 200m (In reachable distance for a 15' open b...
