Homebuilt ROVs Forum

I want to put a dredge on my ROV like the one in this same section that operates using a Bilge pump and the venturi effect for suction. I also want a manipulator arm with a gripper. I am planning to use my ROV to search some local waterways for old bottles and possibly old coins. I have the ROV in a box from inventivity as I am not much of an inventor and needed something that I could just basically assemble. My question is do you guys that are familiar with this type of ROV think that it will handle these attachments? I have a friend that can do the wiring for the arm and the dredge will just be a matter of mounting and running power to the bilge pump, but is there any other issues with adding these things to my ROV? Thanks for your thoughts.

It might weigh the Rov down a bit adding more mass, so you might have to use a more efficient props and maybe add a bit more buoyancy but I don't see why it couldn't handle an arm or dredge.
