Hello guys looking for a bit of advice regarding cable sizing & common Negative/earth my teather consisit of the following, 14 gauge speaker wire +/- to the thrusters, 16 gauge speaker cable power supply to power vellemen controller ( had problems utilising one power source between voltage drop etc ) 4 core cable 2 for vellemen control 2 for camera, what i am wondering can i utilise the negative 14 gauge as a common for all the other cables which i would then use + 14 gauge power to thrusters 2no + 16 gauge 1 for controller & 1 for lighting will the single 14 gauge be adequate?

I am not an expert. But from my experience if you are having voltage drop problems with your positive+ , The ground will cause the same problem. Have you thought about running a 12 gauge power and ground? What is your total amp draw?
