Wow, that is truly amazing ROVER3D. Have you gotten to try it out in the water yet?

Dude that's AWSOME!!! How does the hull hold up under pressure?
Re: ROVER3D
The hull does not hold up the pressure. the electronic components build in an oil-filled housing inside the hull.
Re: ROVER3D
Truly amazing job!! Did you use epoxy resin or polyester resin for hull?
Re: ROVER3D
thx
i used epoxy resin. Don´t use polyester! You cannot use polyester in saltwater for longer time, you cannot clean the rov with alcohol or aceton and you may have problems with painting. i had a lot of problems with it so i can´t recommend polyester for rov-building...

Re: ROVER3D
I had debate with my colleagues, so i guess i won because i've done my hull using epoxy!! Tnx 4 reply!
Re: ROVER3D
ROVER3D,
How long can you typically run your ROV with that battery pack?
And how long does it take to charge it back up to 100%?

Re: ROVER3D
hey olegodo,
this is a very difficult question. whats a typical use?
sure it will run 4h in halfmode.. but my current rov isnt tested.
when i dimm leds to 80% they only take 50% of full-current. so there are many things you can do to stretch operating time.
