First Rov project

Hi to all and congrats on a great forum.

I am very new to this but I have done a lot of reading on the topic.
My biggest revelation was discovered on your forum(the fact that I can use an Rc radio connected to the tether to control the rov).
After much thought I have decided on the following design ,control method and parts.

I would very much appreciate your input and suggestions on the purchase of the following items from hobby king.
I have recently aquired a JR X378 tx/rx with DSC port (have not received it yet).

Hey friends how are you doing?, could some of you guys explain for me what is that Turnigy Brushless ESC. What is that device used for?. how does it work? Thanks in advance!.

ESC stands for Electronic Speed Control. It controls the speed and direction of a motor. The brushless part just means that its designed for a brushless motor. There are also brushed ESCs which are designed to work with brushed motors (for instance, bilge pumps). Brushless motors require an ESC to work at all, whereas a brushed motor will run without one, though only at full speed.

Thanks bikerbones,I will go ahead and order the parts today since you are ok with them.
The design is similar to the deep trekker except that I will be turning the thrusters and not the main body of the rov.I have an idea of having everything on the rov run of lipos and have some kind of charger on board powered via the tether to keep them always at a certain level.
Is this possible with lipos and will i be saving anything on the tether as far as thickeness and voltage loss over distance is concerned?
I would appreciate any input as i am not familiar with lipos nor am i an electrician,its just an idea.

Dont worry about trying to power from the surface if your thinking about on board batteries. And you cant really charge Lipos while operating your ROV at the same time. No extra long wires, voltage loss concerns or charging/power circuit from the tether is required with onboard batteries.
