On the note of digital correction, I tried it out in Adobe Premier Elements, and was able to figure out how to do it pretty easily. I've used a few other video editing programs of that caliber (in the $50-$100 range, so nothing too fancy), and I'm pretty sure any of them would have worked too. Any way, I was able to adjust the red, green, and blue values for colors individually, so I'd assume that would acheive somewhat of the same effect as using a physical filter.

(Sorry about hijacking your thread, by the way  )

no prob. I'm using windows live movie maker (free) and I didn't see anything like that. I also didn't look very hard, either.

good idea about the reference color, though!

screen shot from hd camera. the colors seem to be a little better than the sd camera.

Is the new picture using the color filter?

Either way the HD looks totally worth it in my opinion, that looks great!

nope. no red filter added.

I agree the hd camera is the smarter buy.

Using a 120 degree fisheye lens could also be fun
