Robot Claw from SparkFun

Has anyone played with one of these? Seems like you can't beat it for the price. I'm going to get one with my next order and see how well it works. <3 Sparkfun.

I received these today. They look better on the picture that in real. Feels like simple quality. I think I need to build my own arm.

Can other motors than those from Vex be used or can the Vex motors be waterproofed? I like the Vex claw.

Yes, you can use a servo coupler because the edges of the square Vex shafts are rounded as shown on:

Just a quick tip... SparkFun is planning on having a special offer on the MKII for Cyber Monday this year... 4:00 p.m. - 4:59 p.m. MST only!
Not sure what the discount is going to be... but my guess is... you are likely going to be able to get your hands on a manipulator for under $10! With a bit of tinkering... it might just be good enough!
