Thanks for the help guys, shall speak to a couple of garages and I may also buy a cheap breadboard and just see if they work. If all else fails I may need to turn to it, if I can however get some from a garage then it shall only be a couple of pounds/dollars.

Would you be using switches or joysticks to control them?
