awsome teather from scrap

Post by jason howard »

i went to a building they were tearing down and saw a huge pile of wire. in the pile was 500' of 25 twisted pair security system comm wire. i figured it dosent hurt to ask, so i did and they were more that happy to unload it. i tested it out and it works perfectly i even twitsed, coiled, bent, and tied it in knots to make sure there were no breaks. even if you dont need all of it its a great source for wire even if you want to make a custom cable. it works great and was free. so remember to keep an eye out for good opertuinities for materiels.

A very good point, we really should recycle as much as we can... I shall be looking into recycled materials for my next ROV.

And join your local Hacker's club! Lots of access to material and tools and mad imagination!

And lots of good programmers as well, better believe it!

VHS for the Vancouver BC Canada people. Look it up.

And no, hackers club are not bent on "dark stuff", they are usually a collective of programmers, artists, craftsmen(women) who get together for project or beer. Or both. Think MakerFaire (look that up as well).
