My ROV project

Post by tanner331 »

Hi
Here is the design for my ROV that I am going to be working on. The frame will be made out of aluminum.I will be using rc boat motors for the engines.I have built one light housing, I will be testing it this weekend.

Will you be able to video your tests? If so will you share them with this forum?

My test is actually sending the housing down to the depth by fishing pole and brining it back up to see if it is strong enough to survive the depth. It will just be the housing with out any cameras or lights.I will get footage of my tests for other components like the thrusters and ballast system.

I tested my light housing yesterday. The seal was still good at 120ft.It could probably go deeper but I did not have time to test it again.I would post a picture but the picture I took was to big for the forum.

Yes, that can be problematic. You can resize your photos using photoshop (like me) or another program, or you can upload them somewhere else and link them to this page.
