Hey All!!

Post by NAVYGUY »

Well, i guess this is where i say hello.
I'm in the Navy and like to scube dive, I am thinking about building an ROV to check out wreck diving sites before I dive on them. I haven't decided on which model i want to build but am looking heavily at the SEAFOX platform. one small hitch, I'm an electronic newbie. The control board part of the build seems a bit intimidating. any advice?

Welcome to the forum, (and the hobby) a lot is going to depend on how deep you want to dive, but you can keep things pretty simple on your first Rov. I still use basic relay setups like this http://www.homebuiltrovs.com/howtorelaywiringmain.html on most of my stuff just to keep things simple. You can get more complicated without needing to know to much about electronics but it also makes the budget go up too :)
