Hello - new ROV hobbyist from Washington State

Hi everyone
I'm a mechanical engineering student at WSU and recently got into ROVs, and now me and a friend are looking to design our own. My first ROV is one I built from a kit, the ROV-in-a-Box from Inventivity LLC. It uses surface power and bilge pump motors, with a tether of two CAT5 cables. It's been a lot of fun exploring the Puget sound so far, so I now would like to try my hand at designing one of my own, capable of going deeper and doing more. Looking forward to starting design work and getting started!
