fryslan76 wrote:Beautiful shape, only I think that the watertightness leaves something to desire. I think that you can achieve a better succes with swaping the whole dome if required. Because a flat surface is "easy" to make waterproof.
All the 3D printed parts aren't required to be waterproof. They are just the structural pieces. Te only waterproof part will be the blue robotics watertight enclosure (the plexiglass cylinder with the two caps made by them. <><

Little update... I made two TPU flexible "tube holders" for the blue robotics 3inch watertight enclosure. I already printed them and it fits great.

Here is the adapter for the prop I had to modify since I will use different motors than the creator. I am using Walkera QRX350 old motors.

Here are some renders (if you need the STL write me since its to big of a size to upload).

Here is the prop pieces adapted and created for my walker QRX350 motor. The motor and the cables in the rendering aren't exact, I added them just to see it "built" in the computer.

If you look, Blue Robotics went to a 3-bladed prop on the new T200 thrusters, and most professional ROV's also have 3 bladed props. I believe it's the most efficient in water. They are also usually different from boat props, boat props being designed to work best going forward, while ROV thrusters need to push both ways often. Like this with 3 blades cut off... https://www.banggood.com/QX-Motor-30mm- ... rehouse=CN

Just made the dry compartment system. The plan is to have 6 18650 batteries and the rest of the tube can be used for electronics.

Here's a little study I made for the "wireless" control of the ROV.

Any cheap suggestions for a Hydrophone or a speaker that works also underwater?

Do anyone of you guys know the electrolysis/corrosion effect I could have in ESC wires if not completely sealed? The ESC of course will be sealed. But the copper wires maybe will have some leaks since I will solder them and only put some tape.

Did you had corrosion or electrolysis experiences with your ROV builds? <><
