Currently on an extended visit to Peoria, Ill-annoys.
The only good clear lake near me is an old quarry that has been surrounded by an upscale subdivision and is now 'off limits'. The Illinois river and most of the strip mines around here are so silted/algae'd up i'd have to navigate by sonar...lol.
Do you have any good, clear waters near you to test in/ explore? I might be accompanying friends to the Knob Creek spring shoot.

yea guist creek is not to bad however it is about 30 min away from me there is also a rock quarry near me

Sorry for the long delay guess I'm just as bad
I've been collecting parts for a couple years LOL, I've just about got the body built and last weekend I fished about 70 feet of cble through a rope that was no fun but it's done. I'll try and figure out how to post a pic
