Anyone have any experience of using off-the-shelf cable glands for hull penetration? What sort of depth rating can you get from them?
I'm looking at options for passing my thruster & light cables through the hull.
Thanks!
How useful are cable glands?
Re: How useful are cable glands?
I bought a bunch of them years ago but unfortunately I never got around to testing them so I'm curious about this too.

@Bennachie,
Don't know about cable glands, but I make my own bulkhead cable penetrators using these components:
Blue Robotics cable penetrator https://www.bluerobotics.com/store/conn ... r-10-25-a/
Loctite Marine Epoxy https://www.bluerobotics.com/store/tool ... ine-epoxy/
Assembly Instructions http://docs.bluerobotics.com/tutorials/ ... enetrator/
