A quick hello and a little about me.
I have a 'hankering' to build a uROV or possibly a surface 'mapper' (gps/depth). The problems fascinate me.
I live in the UK near the Severn estuary, so with raging tides and seawater like soup, (you can't see your feet at ankle depth), I'll probably look toward a freshwater craft.
History? 50+ years of analogue electronics, 40+ of digital and micros. I have built gliders, motor boats, sailing boat, roving bots, have had several powered planes, helicopters, drones quad & hex.
Everything apart from the helicopters, sail boat and the powered planes are totally scratch designed and built. The others have degrees of me in them!
