My rov and first problem

Hello,
I draw the parts of my rov, the turner maker made them. Do you think them can works? These are 2 pictures of the endcaps!

They should work, however if it isn't the finish you were expecting then reject them!

Thanks! I will try them, after i will decide! I will test them at 100 meter in lake!

You might have to polish up the o-ring grooves a bit just to make sure you get a good clean seal but other than that they look good.

May the problem be the roundness of the seats in the photo 2?

You mean because the groove for the o-ring is flat and not round?

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure you want a flat groove so the when the o-ring compresses it spreads out evenly too form the seal. Although they do look a little to rough of a surface finish in those photos.

Hi vinsub. I agree with Steve's comments. Also possibly that grade of material is not the best for machining. Looks a bit "cheesy". The groove shape looks O.K. If the edges are too sharp damage could be done to the o-ring during assembly. Polish the grooves a bit, and use lots of o-ring grease before your lake test.

actually the chamfer on the oring grooves is on the wrong side!!

those orings may extrude through the gap

Can i widen the o-ring seat of a few tenths of millimeter and make straight the wall of the seat?
