new controles

Post by manip »

Just got most of my new controle system done, right now i have na analog thumbstick to my arduino and 2 motorshields, and its working great, i plan to have one arduino and joystick in my pelicase and then the motorshields and one arduino in the rov.

I still need to have my vertical Truster controlled by the arduino, plan to put a sliding pot in, and an other motorshield
right now it's still controled by a relay

the thumbstick dont have any turn signal, so i dont have any way of turning my ROV yet,
have any one seen a thumbstick that you can turn.

next step is getting the 2 arduino's talking to eachother, realy looking forward to that and get a smaller tether
with my old controles i had power and 14 small wires

now i suddently have a lot af room in my rov, the arduino and motorshield's dont take up much space

Hi manip. I like the square/circular ROV design. The slider pot for the vertical I think is a good idea also. Anyway, probably what you are describing for turning is called a "3-axis joystick". These all used to be expensive. Now some cheaper ones available:
