I have done something like that with a raspberry pi, i would say... You could also do it with an arduino.
Nobody is stopping you, so my guess... It isnt a bad idea, in general.

It will take time... And many new skills to master.
Learn, share and have fun building.

Thanks a_shorething I think you are right,
but for now i am still not shure how to do the controle setup.

when i get further with my controle system and i know more about in witch direction I am going.
i will post in the specific boards,

Hi there,
Looks like it's really responsive in it's movements. Something I'm aiming for as well. What motors are you using for the thrusters? They look big.

sounds very good! Good job! I believe that in a round shape it will have a better hydro dynamics, yet it is a good job!

just got done with my new ROV,
it is still arduinos i use to controle it, now i have one topside ane one in the rov talking together thru RS485
and have got a genuine umbillical(tether).
there is still some small thinge to do, when the weather gets better i will post a video of it. in water
