Newbie ROV

[ROV John]

I would like to introduce myself my name is John and I'm hoping to gain knowledge from the ROV community. I have recently built and ROV based on current designs that I could find on the Internet. My primary purpose is to search our Lake for RC racing boats and parts that we lost over the years. Before finding this forum I have found little information on what to expect when designing an ROV. The pictures posted is the first design but I found some flaws. The comparison here is the traditional design vs the concept design using the composite Mold. The new design is water jet propulsion using direct output from the sunk pump. Can anybody tell me this is been attempted before? Also the thoughts composite housing and for the ROV? I work with all kinds of epoxy and carbon fiber so I don't see a problem with it any thoughts here!

I'm still a noob here too so I won't comment on the viability of the design. Just looks very original to me.
